Lesson two:
Often your business name as in "mybusiness.com" is NOT your best choice for your domain name (i.e. your website name). This comes as a shock to many who do not understand the purpose of a domain name in attracting customers. For our customers we create domain names for them that drive business and still allow them to use a business related name on their public non-website materials (business cards, brochures etc.).

Lesson three:
You cannot write for the web like you would write a brochure. That does not work. The explanation for that is somewhat long-winded, but let us put it this way. The text on your website is the primary driving force for your success and it should be written for search engines first and people second. If you want a brochure, by all means have one, but make it a download and not your primary website content. We can take the information you provide us, and tweak it to make it work successfully on the web.

Lesson four:
Remember your website is built for your customers, not for you. Don't let your ego get in the way of being effective. Your website is not there to please you, it is there to attract customers to your business.

Lesson five:
You must close the deal. If you don't describe your business in glowing terms and ask for your website visitors to do business with you they are much less likely to. Close the deal!
